Description
Highland Explorer is a quiet wander through places with long memories.

From Highland glens and coastal paths to market towns, castles, and half-forgotten corners of Britain, this channel explores landscapes shaped as much by history as by weather. Vikings, Normans, monks, soldiers, industrial ambition, and the occasional ghost all make an appearance — usually uninvited.

The focus isn’t ticking off attractions or racing through itineraries. It’s about walking slowly, noticing what’s under your feet, and understanding why places look the way they do. Street names, ruined walls, old routes, rivers, churches, and landscapes still carrying the weight of centuries.

There’s history here, but it’s worn lightly. Expect dry observation, gentle scepticism, and the occasional raised eyebrow when folklore gets ahead of itself. Hazel joins many walks, offering silent judgement and a far better sense of direction.

No hype. No gimmicks. Just places, paths, and stories — explored properly.
