Description
Hi, my name is Adrian, and I love playing creative tycoon builder games without getting too stressed about being 'perfect' but always doing my best to understand how they work. So, I have lots of "Lets Plays" for you with a sprinkling of Tutorials and some First Looks at games I think I, or you, might enjoy.
I'm also a great fan of theatre, real ale and 'old' music that I remember from my youth - check out my playlists for some of my favourites.
You can find me on Bluesky, Instagram, Twitter, and various Discord servers (where my ID is just 'Ajax'). I also have a (sort of) personal Blog. I also used to hang out on Tumblr and the Sims forums but don't visit those places much these days. :(
If you use any of those 'socials', use the links below and say "hi".

Hi, hope everyone is well and, yep, another post to alert you to a modest delay to the next video. I've got a busy few days offline coming up (including some theatre and a favourite beer festival - yay!) so I reckon it'll be towards the end of next week before the next video is published.
Another reason for this delay is that I'm working on a 'new' series for the channel which should start in the week beginning 15th June.
To celebrate this 'new' game I'm hosting a quick giveaway, to enter the draw for a Steam key from my game collection just comment on this image answering the simple question ... "what and where?" (hint, it's a game and a city!)
Also, if you want your, or any, name (subject to decency checks!) to appear in the series, add that to your comment as well!
There will be a random draw of all correct answers on Sunday 14th June.
For more chances to win, why not check my social media (from the afternoon of Friday 5th June) and enter there as well! 😉

Oh my goodness!!
TLDR: Let's stay calm and wait to see what actually happens. 😎
I knew that posting about the publishing partnership deal Urban Games have made with Paradox Interactive could attract a good number of views but I was quite unprepared for the unprecedented number of views and, especially, comments! So, first off, THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to the discussion of this contentious topic.
Now, I pride myself on replying properly to each and every comment but I'm afraid that may not be possible here, but I will acknowledge every one and do my best to respond to all those (and there are quite a few) of you who have taken the time to express your thoughts in detail ... it might take me a few days though.
For the many concerned about what this means, considering the terrible reputation Paradox have developed, I would urge some restraint and patience to see how it all plays out. Urban Games may well be the stronger player in this partnership and the game remain as independent as always.
I could have done a follow-up video but (to save me time!) I would recommend checking out this
‪@TrainGamerYT‬
video:
https://youtu.be/n7vMg7sGyG0?si=Wmhp5...
in which he refers to a Swiss business website article (
https://aether.ethz.ch/ausgabe/new-ec...
) which details the Urban Games story - both are in German but can be easily translated into English.
It's a long read but I'll pick out a couple of pertinent sections:
"[Basil] Weber states that two companies expressed interest in collaborating with Urban Games during the development of Transport Fever 2. He says such a collaboration would have been a precursor to a company takeover.
"... Nevertheless, he will continue to regularly engage with the major players in the development industry to hear their proposals for collaboration. He considers an agreement unlikely, however, because he is convinced: 'Independence has helped us succeed – it would take a lot to deter us from this path.'"
"Urban and Basil Weber are no ordinary video game developers. They have successfully balanced technical development skills with entrepreneurial thinking. And they did so at such an early stage that they were never in danger of relinquishing control of their company. This has allowed them to hold their own in a market dominated by monopolists."
If you are one of those who will, on principle, never buy any Paradox related product there's not a lot we can say, but for those of us who have loved this game series I would suggest waiting to see what happens when the release date is announced, when we get to see the game played and decide then whether to reward Urban Games for their work. Obviously, no one in their right mind would buy any game without seeing it play first, would they?
Anyway, thank you for engaging with my video, and I hope we will all be happy about the result of this deal come release day.
Adrian

Hi, hope you are all well, I just wanted to let you know there will be no uploads until next week.
I've just got a new PC and and taking some time to configure it and I will also be in that there London until Friday so there's little time to record new content. 😢
However. The first episode of the new Transport Fever 2 series is ready to go and I have just started editing the second. So, I'll probably publish that first episode over the weekend and then the second some days later before getting back to the other games.
However, number 2. My visits to London have often coincided with Urban Games releasing some new information on Transport Fever 3 so I might pivot quickly to cover that if they do. 😊
And finally, after a quick test I'm confident that the new PC will load the Island Hub save game without messing about, unlike the old PC!! That said, I think it is time to put that series to bed so if you have any thoughts on what you would like to see to wrap it up, do please drop a comment to let me know.
In the meantime, have a great week and I will back with you again at the weekend.

Hi, hope you are all well and enjoying 2026 so far.
As you may have heard, if you watched my last Transport Fever 2 video, my PC is starting to show it's age and doing odd things such as corrupting some of my mods which has made loading the Island Hub save game quite a tortuous process!
I had already planned to get a new PC for Transport Fever 3 (just as I did for Transport Fever 2!) so am bringing that forward but, in the meantime, have started a much smaller series for Transport Fever 2 which, hopefully, won't have the same problems and delays in loading. 🤞
It should be with you in the next couple of weeks but, for now, I have a little teaser for you...

No signals after the last decision making point - that explains why some of my hubs work and some don't. Thanks a lot, mate!

The most important thing i have learned is setting a filter on what vehicles can load. Otherwise, you will get chaos

So i tried to take crud oil to refinery and to take the fuel back to crud oil factory and then from there to city by a truck. But the refinery wont load fuel and the train which unloads crud there. Do we need to have 2 station or double tracks to do so? (All things are encatched)
