"It...will not KEAL."

To be fair, any blade that fails catastrophically is potentially lethal for the user. A soft blade might not work, but a brittle blade puts the user in hospital.

5:48 "I'll be back..." This moment was like a villain origin story, and I love it.

This has to have been filmed in a parallel universe. I refuse to believe Doug ever says this version of his catchphrase.

when the first guy scott won and he said it was his first time winning anything in his life, you just feel good for the man despite some of the shortcomings he had along the way in blade testing.

You gotta appreciate the fact that Tobin just loves to be a part of it

The second clip where he two hands the first fish and has a bad swing at the rope, followed by a one hand attempt with a very strong swing on the rope is just the epitome of the “judging” on this show lol

Always thought the keal test was for entertainment purposes only, but I guess this shows that there can be blades that pass through the other tests and fail the keal test

The funniest thing ever to me was “At least mine cut, his didnt.” BRUH your sword literally exploded into 3-4 pieces.

I love how the show about recreating brutal weapons meant to kill and maim has the most sportsmanship of anything I've ever seen.

The first episode is one of the reasons I love this series. Such a turn around with them letting that guy straighten his claymore. Great show

That first clip is the first time I’ve seen two people have their blades break/not work. That’s depressing.

6:47 "although it was made as a land weapon, it was quickly adopted as the sailor's weapon of choice"
