I saw this live it was crazy. Dude loses consciousness in mid air and drops the football. My brain is glad i quit football to play baseball.

This hit was in 2004. It was before helmet to helmet hits were illegal. This is actually one of the hits that pushed the implementation of the penalty in 2005.

You have helmets to protect you head, not lead with it. Thats how concussions are made.

I like the people who say "I miss when football was like this!" cuz they're the people that have never been on the receiving end of these kinds of hits. Not only that but people are trying to make careers out of this, which is hard to do when u get hurt all the time

I can't imagine either one of those guys making it without hospital if they didn't have helmets on. The hits in Rugby might seem "harder" because there's blood n bruises n stuff, but I very much doubt they actually hit with higher force... they would just hurt themselves without the gear we see here.
