We Teach Artist Development the Old Fashion way.
Participants learn how to write and produce music, film & video, the business of music, and live performance.
The program is the brainchild of former Motown Record's producer and recording artist Chris Powell.
Powell learned production from the legendary Norman Whitfield who wrote countless hits for the Temptations, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Rose Royce etc. and later toured and played saxophone with the great Rick James as one of the"Punk Funk Horns".
He then achieved his childhood dream of becoming a recording artist on the Motown Records label with the group Koko-Pop,
He has produced music for Paula Abdul, Teen Dream, Destiny's Child and Troop etc.
S.T.A.R.S. artists have been seen on American Idol, the Apollo, Ellen DeGeneres, and attend the Berklee College of Music etc.
Our Motown Tribute features songs by Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye etc.
