chaffXgrenade I kinda love it in old-school games (Dino Crisis in particular here) when you want to change picture settings and it just throws SMPTE color bars at you and basically says "actually OUR in-game brightness/contrast/color settings are perfect as is, it's YOUR TV screen that needs to be adjusted, idiot." And more often than not, they're right (in my experience, anyway). For the longest time, I was having issues with games on my PS3 looking unusually dark in some places, in a way that couldn't be fixed in-game (when available) as it would just turn blacks into greys. A little bit of research let me to a Reddit post talking about changing the PS3's RGB Full Range (HDMI) setting from "Full" to "Limited," and wouldn't ya know it, THAT was was the solution. Everything was looking nice and bright. No more bumping into every wall in those dark tunnels in WipEout 2097 tracks. Also, I'm one of those people who virtually never EVER changes their TV-level brightness/contrast settings after an initial setup, but sometimes I have to get over that hint of OCD and change things around if I want my picture to look its best. That's all it takes to counter the strange darkening effect of those cheap PS2-to-HDMI adapters, for example. (4 weeks ago)

chaffXgrenade Man, I can't believe Insomniac Games was out here grooming children with BISEXUAL SKYBOXES (jokes aside, take a moment to look up high-res images of skyboxes from the original Spyro The Dragon Trilogy and bask in the glory of peak vertex painting) (1 month ago)

chaffXgrenade I like that YouTube counts Community Posts as videos/uploads in the monthly review emails. This was apparently my "most watched" "video" last month. Whatever you say, Google lol (1 month ago)

badass shooter, it feels real, enemies tough and ruthless, the shooting mechanics, enemy movement, graphics, sound, the whole atmosphere is amazing, BLACK is a masterpiece.

Stunning visuals for the era! It could easily almost be mistaken for a launch title from the PS3 if you didn’t know it was for the PS2.

This is my favorite level in the game. I absolutely love the location and atmosphere. This game was pushing the PS2's hardware to the max.

The last few checkpoint of this mission had WW1 vibes into it where we go through trench to trench warfare at a destroyed city building here & there. Crazy to think this takes place in War On Terror in the 90s. It feels like another world war that set in Russia but fictionally between the Black Ops and the 7th Wave Terrorism unit and the destruction town is massive in this one.

One of the greatest shooters of the 6th generation era.

The only game on PS2 that I really felt like it has pushed the limits of the hardware alongside with GOD OF WAR 2

For it's time, this game had the best audio and graphics out there. I spent hours just enjoying the visual stimulus. Ahead of it's time.

This was the first game that I bought with the PS2. When the music starts playing, you know you are getting far into the mission. I hated those shotgun guys!
