Some stories are entertainment. This one is personal.
When I created Unlikely Romances, I wasn’t just writing about love stories… I was writing about my own life.
Growing up in an Indian family, there were certain expectations around culture, religion, and who you were “supposed” to end up with. Choosing someone outside of that didn’t always make sense to everyone around me. It meant going against tradition, against opinions, and sometimes against the people closest to me.
But love has a funny way of reminding you that the heart doesn’t always follow rules.
That’s why I wrote this series.
For anyone who has ever felt judged for who they love.
For anyone who felt caught between family expectations and following their heart.
For anyone who wondered if love was still valid even if it didn’t fit inside the box other people created for them.
Unlikely Romances is a 4-part anthology series about unexpected love, cultural differences, family pressure, and the courage it takes to choose your own path.
Honestly… I think this might be some of the most personal storytelling I’ve ever done.

I built my career telling scripted stories.
Now I’m sitting down to hear the real ones.
When I started creating videos in 2018, my goal was simple: take the lessons I had learned through my own failures, struggles, and growth, and turn them into stories that could help someone else feel less alone.
At the time, I just hoped one person would watch and think, “I needed to hear that today.”
Years later, that same mission is taking on a new format with the launch of my first original podcast: What Happens Next.
Each episode is a deeper conversation with someone I admire about the moments that shaped them.
The breakthroughs.
The setbacks.
The unexpected turns.
The parts of the story people rarely see.
Because the truth is, what happens to us matters.
But what happens next is what defines us.

My best friend is autistic. We've been friends since second grade and now we're in high school. He is literally the nicest person I've ever met, and it breaks my heart when he tells a story about someone who was mean to him. But at school, literally, no one sees him as an autistic kid. Everyone is so nice to him.
