At times when searching the depths of the world for comfort, we forget comfort has always been waiting in the arms of our God. Loneliness comes in many forms, and quite often, we believe no one will ever understand our pain. God understands our pain and listens to the silent prayers trapped in our hearts. Unlike the world, which is demanding and hostile, God's love is welcoming and eternal, even in the darkest times. God's love is even a soft whisper in the depths of night; it is a love that never goes out, unlike many other flames that can go out.
God never walks away or turns His back to us when we face our failures, our doubts, or our fears. He simply walks closer to us. His grace is enough when we are weak, and those mornings are a glimpse of His grace and a reminder that a new breath has been gifted to us to start anew and to walk in courage and hope.
It is His love that teaches us and holds our hearts high to let us understand that the true measure of a man is not in how perfect they are, but how perfectly they can trust. God holds our hearts and teaches us to forgive the unforgivable and to love when all feels lost. In His presence, the abandoned and the lost will not go unnoticed; He will give away his grace to those who believe, for He understands that pain is never wasted, tears will never go forgotten and that life, even when it seems lost, has a purpose.

God speaks to us the loudest when the world around us gets quiet and when we slow down enough to hear His still small voice. He does not come to us with loudness and aggression. He tends to us in a way that is gentle and brings healing to the broken and restoration to the tired. God loves us and that love sees us through the lens of our failures and sees us in a light that brings value to our existence because we do not need to prove our worth through earning anything. Whenever we feel hopeless, He gives us strength. He gives us peace when we feel fear the most.
God is with us during every season of life, whether it is the joy that brings smiles and laughter or during the sorrow that tests the strength of our faith. When we feel like we are in a void of loneliness, He walks with us to remind us that we are not alone. When we feel uncertain, He walks with us to remind us that faith is the assurance of things not seen, and that the answers do not need to be known in order for us to believe, and in every prayer that we pray with our lips or with our tears, He is listening and is holding those prayers.
I would like to offer up my genuine thanks to everyone who helped in preparing this space to welcome Father Jes and all of our new residents. Thank you to all of our staff. The love of God can manifest in ways where there seems to be unanswered questions. In spaces filled with fear, failure, and loneliness, God is there. He is a calm presence, not always seen, but always felt. He does not promise a life with no challenges, but does promise that He will be your protection during those challenges. He will be the strength when it is needed most, and will be the guiding light when hope is lost.
God knows the human heart, its doubts, and its need for meaning. He does not ignore unfinished prayers or broken faith. He changes that weakness into a story, and sadness into greater love. Each challenge becomes an opportunity for growth, shaped by His wisdom and love.
God shows us patience when we need answers and humility when we need to let go of our pride. God’s grace reminds us we are defined not by the past, but by the mercy that renews us each morning. When we trust God, we learn to let go of fear and embrace the peace that surpasses all understanding. God helps us find meaning in our suffering and joy in the mundane. He gives eternal hope to life, direction to the soul, and rest to the heart.

In painterly ways God helps us appreciate these little moments instead of the miracles we expect. God helps us rise after failing. God helps us with the calmness we find after sincerely praying. God helps us with the peace we find after forgiving surrender and letting go of the burden our offense is to our heart. We are to labor to the extent of the struggle we are suffering through: the more we surrender and trust the more growth will be. God does not turn away, he helps us through our struggle with his patience.
God turns away from conventional ideas of instant, complete and total perfection. God does not abandon us, even when we are in total silence or total isolation. God’s loves is not lost in a passing moment or in changing situations. God’s love endures and remains constant through changing situations. There is an closeness and an unbreakable bond with God. We find completeness of heart in unshakeable truth when we have the faith to choose God over our doubts. It is not the case that God merely observes; he walks with us, step by step.
