no Rihanna is not lip syncing, it's her vocals from the record that plays along with the music & it's stronger than her mic so it sound like she's lip syncing, but if you listen carefully you can hear her real vocals break through at the end of the perfromance. But yeah, even if Rihanna is/was lipsyncing RIHANNA is SO AWESOME, SEXY & HOT!!!!!! LOVE Rihanna!!!

It's called "sampling", it happens a lot in hip-hop and rap when an artist will use a portion of a song and create a rhyme or rap out of it. It happens a lot. They didn't steal the Numa Numa song.
